John & Diana Hagee Christian - Jewish Dialogue Chair The John and Diana Hagee Christian-Jewish Dialogue Chair, operating under the umbrella of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Strategic Dialogue, is a dialogue forum that enables Christian and Jewish figures to examine the similarities and differences between the religions, and discuss the common values of faith, love, compassion, and resolve to combat the forces of hatred, prejudice, intolerance, and radicalism. This Chair, which promotes understanding and cooperation between Christians and Jews based on respect for one another’s identity and integrity, comprises both academic and social pursuits through educational and community-building programs, dialogue opportunities and research projects. The Chair focuses both on the creation of academic text study courses and research activities, and on the development of effective approaches to establishing greater cooperation and understanding between Jewish and Christian communities both in Israel and around the world. The John and Diana Hagee Christian-Jewish Dialogue Chair coordinates programs in which experts and students alike gather together to discuss the similarities and differences between each faith’s worldview, heritage and interpretation of common holy texts, within the safe structure of shared history and values. Through a systematic and jointly organized series of study and community-building programs, Christian and Jewish students will develop deep and meaningful relationships of trust that will extend beyond the boundaries of the campus, enabling them to build bridges and increase understanding between these communities on a grander scale. This Chair attempts to demonstrate to the world, through passionate and purposeful Christian-Jewish dialogue, study and relationship-building, that the Judeo-Christian values of faith, love and compassion are more powerful and lasting than hatred, intolerance and radicalism.Past Events
