The Rabin Legacy Chair is intended to honor and perpetuate the extraordinary vision, dream and dedication of the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin . This Chair will concentrate on conference coordination, dialogue, joint research activities and publications in the field of conflict resolution in the Middle East and throughout the world. This endowed Chair will focus on the following efforts :

Twice per year, the Rabin Legacy Chair and the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Strategic Dialogue will coordinate international conferences and dialogue sessions on conflict resolution. These conferences and dialogue sessions will take place in locations throughout the world.

Previously the S. Daniel Abraham Center was invited by the Turks and Greeks in Cyprus to bring a team of experts from the Center in order to facilitate mediation between the two parties. In addition, the Center was asked by the Basques in Spain to mediate between their nation and the Spanish government. The Rabin Legacy Chair would be involved in initiating these types of dialogue and mediation events .
